The compilation opens with a track off of Disapproval’s forthcoming split with Losin’ It, subsequently making the future of El Monte, California hardcore look very promising. Other notable mentions are Dallas’ Power Trip, Washington DC’s Coke Bust and Boston’s Streetsweeper. It’s worth mentioning that most bands on this compilation started in the past two years; if not, they’re still going strong and have many years to go.
Like any compilation, there is something for everyone — from minute long youth crew inspired songs to ’80s crossover hardcore. If you beg to differ, you’re urged to look out for a covers Casa de Diversion compilation featuring 25 covers that should be out by February.
